STANDING EVENTS
Most events at The Drill are standing. A limited, set number of chairs can be provided by prior arrangement for patrons with accessibility needs. Please contact us a minimum of 24 hours before the event to arrange seating requirements. These are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis; to avoid disappointment please contact us as soon as possible after ticket release. For safety reasons, chairs will be positioned along the side walls, but we will do our best to position them as close to the stage as possible. We cannot guarantee unobstructed views.
WHEELCHAIR USERS
If you are a wheelchair user and wish to attend a standing event, please send us an email to let us know; this way we can ensure you get early entry to the main room and are positioned safely and comfortably at the barrier in front of the stage. Seated events will be clearly identified as such on the event page, and for allocated seated events you can book your own wheelchair space. If you require a wheelchair space at an unallocated seated event, please get in touch. If you use a mobility scooter and would like to bring it to the venue, please let us know, as we may need to discuss your access options, depending on how busy an event is.
CARER TICKETS
Disabled guests who require a carer to accompany them are entitled to one complimentary carer's ticket for most events at The Drill.
- Book as many full priced tickets as you require for an event from our what’s on page.
- Email us at boxoffice@lincolndrill.co.uk; please include the name of the event you have booked for, your name and order reference. If you are able to provide proof of disability, please include photos (e.g. a valid Blue Badge).
- If applicable, tell us about how we can help you during the event (i.e. do you need early access, or a seat for an event?)
- We will then issue you a complimentary carer ticket and make a note of your access needs.
A carer must be over 14 years of age and capable of assisting the guest who has the disability. The carer would be expected to understand the disabled person’s condition and assist them in managing this for the duration of the visit.
ASSISTANCE DOGS
The Drill welcomes assistance dogs to the venue. We can provide a bowl of water and a location where the dog could stay if needed. Some events may not be suitable so please contact us ahead of your visit if you wish to bring your assistance dog.
BUTTERFLY CLUB
The Drill hosts a regular disco night for adults with disabilities and their carers. Butterfly Club usually lands on the first Wednesday of the month, and runs from 6.30pm to 9pm. This event is ticketed (£5 in advance, £8 on the door, carers go free) and upcoming events can be found in the what’s on list. Everyone is welcome to this inclusive and safe space to enjoy a night of dancing and karaoke! We accept cash payments at the box office and bar for this event only.
The Drill facilitates The Butterfly Club disco session by arranging the disco and bar. The Drill provides bar staff and security to monitor the overall safety of the event. The Drill does not provide personal support or care services for persons attending the disco. Carers and/or adults accompanying attendees with additional needs must remain responsible for them at all times. Attendees coming alone acknowledge they are responsible for their own well-being and understand the organisers cannot provide assistance or supervision. Participation without a caregiver or support person is at the individual’s risk.
